About PUSH COMMUNITY INITIATIVE


Push Community Initiative (PCI) is an indigenous NGO focused on preventing and responding to all forms of abuse against children.  Formed in 2019 ,PCI desires to empower communities to keep children safe from all forms of abuse. The organization is legally registered by the National NGO Bureau as a Non-Governmental Organization under Reg No.5101 and permit No.5491

PCI has a professional and well experienced Board of directors.The BoD members have  backgrounds in project management ,child protection, gender ,environment and climate change adaptation, resilient agriculture and general community development.   PCI programmes focus on livelihoods,education, health and child protection with gender and climate change as cross cutting issues. The main target group are adolescent girls and young women in the rural communities in Mbale District on the Mt Slopes of Eastern Uganda.
